Help
Too often, we’re afraid to ask for help when we really need it. We muddle along, making mistakes and become frustrated and overwhelmed.
Asking for help isn’t always easy.
Figuring out where to start or who to turn to can be overwhelming and we may not want to bother anyone with our worries and fears.
But the truth about asking for help, is no problem is too big or too small and everything is easier when it is shared.
We have Google to help us answer every imaginable question, but knowing the solution and sharing the burden are polar opposites.
There are days I need someone to help me fix my car, understand a computer or give directions to a destination. I have tasks I can do alone, but doing them together is better and more fun.
Recently I started a 10,000 step daily challenge and a goal to lose 10 pounds by early January. I am currently in epic fail mode on both counts- but I am not giving up because my friend Kathy is texting me her steps every night. I am motivated by her and there are some days I am able to motivate her with my success too.
We are created to do life in community and relationship. God created us to need each other. He created Adam and Eve. … Not just one of them. He gave them to each other and He gives others to us to make us complete.
In 2013 it was estimated there were 7.125 billion people alive.
The earth is filled with a massive amount of humanity but there are days when we can feel lonely, afraid, useless and insecure.
Every week, 365 days each year, families are touched by the pain of depression and the wrenching loss of loved ones to suicide. There is no other time loneliness is more apparent than during the holiday season.
Do you know someone struggling? Be there for them. Call, invite them over, ask them to spend time with you. Reach out.
Are you struggling? You need to know, you matter, you are important and what hurts so much today will someday not hurt as much as it does right now. You are stronger than what you realize and you are loved by more people than you can comprehend.
Asking for help may be scary, but it’s also one of the bravest things you can do.
Oxen are yoked together so they can pull more weight and their burden is lighter when it is shared.
Share each other’s burdens – Galatians 6:2
- You can ask for help.
- You do not need to do life alone.
- You were created in relationship for relationship.
- You are matter. Alot.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world. Mahatma Gandhi
Let it begin with you.
Blessings- friends! Challenge for today- look for opportunity to give and be given to. There is no gift greater than one given without condition or concern of return.

Thanks Nancy.
Rick-
It seems the www has allowed us to know a multitude of people around the world, and an opportunity to learn an unlimited amount of knowledge… but yet so many of us are more lonely than we have ever been.
Thankful for those who gather around another to keep protect and love in the midst of this life.
Blessings
